Prairie dog poisoning postponed

A story in the Chadron Record got my attention: Prairie dog poisoning postponed. It seems the impending prairie dog poisoning has been delayed by a Federal Court in Denver, which is hearing a convoluted agglomeration of appeals. What a waste of time and tax dollars. The cases all concern the killing or saving of prairie dogs.

"Three appeals filed by environmental groups complain that the plan doesn't do enough to protect prairie dogs or their habitat. The fourth appeal - filed by six grazing groups and counties in Nebraska and South Dakota - argue that the plan would not kill enough prairie dogs and damage more grazing lands."

The Plains Feeder is taking sides on this one. Against the useless, disease carrying, dirt squirrel varmints, of course. Rodents, either you like 'em, or you don't.
