The long overdue goodbye

Fake But Accurate

Dan Rather takes early retirement. I just can't work up any sympathy for this disgraced, drummed-out loser. Sure, his own kind in the media have tried to make it seem like Dan is just getting tired and needs to retire, or, that lie failing, like he was eased out for a mistake that wasn't really his fault. But we know better. More like his denouement has been inexplicably drawn out. This time, I hope it's really goodbye.

Any bets on his not getting totally flushed away until someone drives a stake through his heart?
