Video: Explosion shuts down important oil pipeline in Minnesota. Two people were killed in the blast and subsequent fire. The result will be higher prices for petroleum products and more jitters in a market already jumpy over volatile energy costs.
Later reports are claiming there wasn't really an explosion. Well, was there or wasn't there? I've never heard of crude oil exploding in the ordinary sense of the word. If there was an explosion it must have been caused by something besides a leaky pipe.
