Joe Biden - Sarah Palin Debate

Moderator Gwen Ifill does Joe Biden's lipstick
Its a good thing that Gwen Ifill, the moderator of tonight's debate between Vice Presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin has been cleared of the ethics charges that have cast a shadow on the PBS newslady's objectivity.

Just because Gwen stands to profit from her new book, Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. coming out in January doesn't mean she won't be fair to Governor Palin. Even to suggest she might let her financial interest in the outcome of this election stand in the way of her acting as an objective moderator is racist. Besides, I have faith that Sarah can hold her own in the face of a little unfair bias.

I suspect Ms. Ifill will need to apply a little lipstick to Senator Joe Biden. I won't complain. Joe needs all the help he can get. It reminds me of how many Mohammedans dye bright streaks of color in the ram's wool before the Eid al-Adha slaughter.

Polls Change Party Mix to Create an Obama Trend

You can't trust anybody in the media these days. The Associated Press and and others have been rigging their poll calculations to make it appear that Barack Obama has a growing lead among potential voters. Please read this NewsBusters story by Tom Blumer carefully. DJ Drummond at Wizbang blog has posted numerous times about the continuing re-adustment of political party weighting and other shenanigans in the polls. It is disappointing to read about this statistical trickery.

Is it a deliberate effort to manufacture an Obama lead? Is the media hell-bent on subverting the legitimate election process? Do they want to influence the outcome of the election as Dan Rather attempted in the last presidential race with his 'fake but accurate' Texas ANG documents? Are they doing this because they feel that 'it is time' for the USA to elect a black, and they must do what they can to 'make a difference'?

Whatever their motive, it is wrong to do this sort of thing while posing as legitimate newsmen and newswomen. Shame on them all.

Personally, I suspect these faked up polls will be used after the election to justify the left's cries of "We was robbed!"

VP debate moderator Gwen Ifill has a financial interest in an Obama victory

Flash Update: Ifill Ethics Commission Clears Ifill
IowaHawk has the complete Ifill Center for Media Ethics report

Gwen Ifill fawning over Barack Obama
The US News Media is solidly behind Barack Obama's candidacy for president. This isn't news. So it shouldn't come as any big surprise that Gwen Ifill, the 'moderator' for tonight's debate between vice-presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin is an overt Obama supporter. But today it appears that Ms. Ifill also has a financial interest in an Obama victory.

Ifill, a news reader for The NewsHour on PBS and the managing editor and moderator for PBS's Washington Week, is simultaneously releasing a new pro-Obama book, in which Obama is potrayed as an example of Negroes 'forging a bold new path to political power'. This isn't just bias, Ifill stands to make big money if Obama wins and her book sells.

The title of Ifill's book: Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. Though the book is being promoted now, it won't be released until January 20th. If Obama loses the election, the book won't be worth the paper it is printed on.

Don't say anything though. Act as if this blatant political profiteering and bias isn't there, Don't notice if Ifill 'moderates' the debate to favor the Obama camp. According to the Riehl World View, if you say a single word about Ifill's financial interest in seeing Obama elected, you will be called a racist.

You might be a racist if you even think Ifill might be biased. Did I mention that Gwen Ifill is black?
---
I heard it first on Fox TV News and from Michelle Malkin.
---
Do you thing Gwen Ifill should disclose her financial interest in the outcome of the debate she will moderate tonight? Click to contact the PBS journalistic standards ombudsman Michael Getler. Let PBS know what you think of Ifill's lack of objectivity. Tell him you think a disclosure at the outset of the debate is in order.
---
Update: Response from Gwen Ifill’s employers at PBS are "not sure what the big deal is”. John McCain can;'t see the conflict either. Read their huffy reply to our concerns at Michelle Malkin's blog.

I wish Sarah Palin was at the top of the Republican ticket instead of the half-Democrat McCain.
