Updated: From Stop the ACLU Sotomayor ‘La Raza member’. La Raza is an anti-white extremist group that advocates the 'reclaiming' of much of the US to form a Latino nation called Aztlan. If you didn't think Sotomayor was a racist and a raving radical before, this ought to convince you. It would be the equivalent of a white Supreme Court appointee having a current membership in the KKK.

Barack Obama has selected Ms. Sonia Sotomayor to replace retiring Justice David Souter on the US Supreme Court. Choosing a female and the first Hispanic-American to the lifetime position on our highest court looks to me more like an act of Political Correctness than a choice based upon judicial rationale. PC mixed with some payback to the US Latinos who supported Obama's bid for the White House. Payback is an important part of the Chicago style.

I was hoping he would pick a Mohammedan Mullah of uncertain gender, preferably somewhat disabled. Now that would be PC!

Obama's 100 Days

Much has been made of President Barack Obama's first 100 days in office, including the public display of an utterly inappropriate depiction of Him wearing a crown of thorns. The image posted here carries the absurdity to its logical conclusion: that Obama is the Savior. Barack Obama, Rex Marxismus.

Here is is my short summary of our President's three biggest accomplishments since taking the oath:

1. The exacerbation of the stock market crash. It started when the Democrats took control of the Congress and got worse after the inauguration. The US stock market is a capitalist machine; the fear of Marxist thought becoming official policy is, in my opinion, the cause of the crash's enormous depth. Of course, the downturn owes something to the mortgage mess, but I believe that was also caused by the leftist Congress with some help from Bush II's spineless capitulation and collaboration.
2. The unbelievable increase in US government spending and concomitant borrowing. The current Congress has spent more money than ever before, partly out of rampant fears induced by the 'accomplishment' listed above. We now face generations of onerous taxation and the threat of runaway inflation. The automobile industry bailout, the stimulus packages, with their embedded pork-barrel imprudence have spent America into the poorhouse. Obama managed to create such a panic in Congress that the passed legislation they didn't even have time to read.
3. The Fear. Our national posture has changed from one of a mighty force for righteousness in the world to one of helplessness, weakness, capitulation and inaction. This has made the people feel fearful and insecure. I don't think this is accidental or an 'unintended consequence' of the Obama plan. The President seems to want to raise the level of fear and the sense of uncertainty among Americans more every day. An example is the recent scare caused when Obama, as Commander in Chief, had the jumbo jet and fighter planes buzz New York City recently.

I believe President Obama is using the tactics of Saul Alinsky to effect an American Communist Revolution by stealth. There, I said it. You don't have to agree. Not yet.

Obama gives the glad hand to dictator Hugo Chavez

Barack Obama has recently stated that the use of any kind of torture by US officials is wrong, even if it helps prevent deadly terrorist attacks. The fact that the Bush administration evidently used aggressive and unpleasant interrogation techniques to good effect is, in President Obama's view, evidence that our nation has "lost its moral bearings". I'm sure our President wouldn't approve of local police departments here in the 'States torturing suspects either. Proper moral bearings, after all, begin at home.

At about the same time as Obama was posturing on the torture high road, he was fawning over a whole gang of South American dictators, strongmen and communist stooges at the ALBA summit meeting. All the while these nasty thugs beat up on America, El Negro (as Chavez actually calls our President) smiled like a dog eating shit.

Obama was caught on camera being particularly chummy with Venezuela's Marxist-Leninist coke-head 'President for Life', Hugo Chavez. Some folks didn't like the gang-style handshake. Others with a more modern 'bent' to their moral bearings thought the negative reaction was inappropriate. Like this especially misguided analysis by Pat Murphy in the Idaho Mountain Express.

Of course, Obama's secret handshake pal, Hugo Chavez would never allow torture to be used in his country, would he? Well take a look at this video of Venezuelan cops 'torturing' a naked man:

The video is somewhat shocking, and features a fully nude man. Don't look if you are squeamish or might have a perverse prurient interest in such sights. If this video is too nasty for you, and you can understand butchered Spanish, you can watch Chavez discuss his diarrhea right here. No kidding.

I'm sure none of the other countries of Latin America, not even los hermanos Castro, would ever allow torture in their countries. I have more videos and testimonials, but they nauseate me so much I won't include them here. Perhaps I'll start a Torturer of the Month feature, so the rest of South America and the Carribean won't feel left out.

There really is a movie, Gaucho Negro, from which I swiped the original poster. Released in 1991, it is a Brazilian adventure flic, distributed by Art Filmes e Columbia Pictures; I haven't seen it. I've never heard Argentine singer Teresa Parodi's song, either. Its just a bit of fun. I jiggered the poster up after watching Barack get suckered by the Bolivarian Alternative stooges at the ALBA conference.

Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel is soon to be out of work. He says he is 'retiring' from the Senate, but in reality, he has been shown the door. Hagel is known here in his home state as a duplicitous, selfish, vindictive turncoat. He must perceive these qualities to be just what an Obama administration needs. If Barack appoints Hagel to anything, it will be in accord with this perception: an act of punishment directed at Nebraska Republicans.

Now all of the 'guts' of the site which claims to originate from the non-existent but official sounding Office of the President Elect have been ripped out according to the Washington Times. Obama's minions say the site is being re-tooled.

al-Qaeda's hopes are up

It is tomorrow in Australia, and theage.com.au has published this warning of new bin Laden attack:

Osama bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will 'outdo by far' September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.

And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a 'positive phase', reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next 'wave of action' against the West.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers — quotes a person described as being 'very close to al-Qaeda' in Yemen.

The paper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who is said to be the last journalist to interview Osama bin Laden in 1996. According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to 'change the face of world politics and economics'.

We can only guess why America's most deadly enemy would announce that his underground Mohammedan Jihad terrorist outfit has now "entered a positive phase" that will facilitate new and more horrific attacks on the US and its allies in the War on Terror. You don't suppose Osama bin-Laden's new war cry is Change You Can Believe In? The old feeder wonders if Hope will be enough for us.

Post-election Market Bounce Continues

Wait until investors learn more about Obama

The post-election bounce in the US stock market continues unabated. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which fell 486.01 points the first day after the votes were counted, was down another 443.48 at today's close. That is a 929.49 point loss, in spite of government bailouts, incentives and promises of more costly government intervention schemes economic programs to pump the market back up.

Of course, this record breaking post-election market collapse hasn't got anything to do with Barack Obama's election. To suggest that investors are worried about Obama's Marxist plans might be, well, racist. Got to get behind our new leader, right?

Of course there was our new flag, the red one with the hammer and sickle that Barack's delirious supporters were waving. That sort of thing wouldn't make investors think those stories about nationalizing our banks and major industries might be true. Would it?

It must be the unemployment numbers or consumer confidence that are responsible for the mood to sell that has captured Wall Street. Sure, things look dark, but not because of investor concerns about socialism. The market will turn around any minute now. No need to panic.

Maybe the investors didn't like seeing the big, red Hammer and Sickle flag that Obama supporters were waving at the White House last night. The Dow closed today at 9139.27. Good thing we have that big bail-out working for us.

What the Heck Did He Mean Here?

This is from a speech Sen. Obama gave in Colorado in July, 2008. Watch it and ask yourself what in the world he's talking about.

Here's the long version (24 min) from the Obama Campaign site. You might want to skip to the 14 min mark or so for a reasonable lead in.

So why would we need a "civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well-funded" as the military? We already have the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, TSA and various federal and state law enforcement agencies. Since Defense is about 20% of regular federal spending (whatever that means these days), this suggests a massive spending project without any apparent purpose.

Taking the relatively benign interpretation of Obama's proposal, he may be suggesting, as the Left is wont to do, that all desired spending is a matter of "national security." He doesn't really have anything useful for them to do, but he's sure it needs to be done in a big way. In this interpretation the plan is only a colossal waste of money, to be spent on make-work projects like the FDR administration promulgated during the Great Depression. These kinds of programs were ineffective then, and they might well precipitate a depression if tried now.

Looking beyond that, we can guess that this may be a vehicle for channeling more federal money into favored "community organizations" such as ACORN, Nation of Islam, etc. Such a powerful, strong, well-funded civilian force would be very handy to have in the future for stealing elections, intimidating opponents, and perhaps busting a few heads, as needed. Anyone for pogroms?

While much of the media has been studiously ignoring Barack Obama's past outside of his two autobiographies, Stanley Kurtz of the National Review has methodically examined the record. Kurtz has documented Obama's days as a "community organizer," Obama's funding of radical leftwing causes through Bill Ayers' Chicago Annenberg Challenge and the Woods Foundation, Obama's membership in the socialistic New Party, and the stealthy redistributionism of the the Gamaliel Foundation. The article on the latter has just been updated online:

Senator Stealth by Stanley Kurtz on National Review Online: "Beyond its revelation that Obama’s original community organizer home-base is pervaded by anti-Americanism, “Senator Stealth” foreshadows today’s debates over redistributionism, and shows that concerns over Obama’s radical “associations” cannot be separated from the most significant policy disputes of the campaign.

“Senator Stealth” also lays out a way of resolving the contradiction between Obama’s radical past and his apparently moderate present. After learning that incrementalism, rhetorical disguise, and ideological stealth are second nature to Obama’s community organizer compatriots, it’s tougher to take his current self-presentation at face value. More than two months later, the same issues play out in the latest flap over Obama’s ties to the NEW PARTY.

Obama has downplayed or denied these many ties to an extent that is shockingly at odds with the public record, while the press has played along."

Many people now accept Obama's pose as a moderate at face value and Hope, if elected, his Change will be moderate. Kurtz's research shows that posing as a moderate is an explicit part of the radical organizations and individuals that Obama has allied himself with during his rise to political power. Hoping for Change in Obama on that score is a long shot gamble that he is something other than what he has been throughout his adult life.

Internet Censorship of ZombieTime blog by my ISP?

My ISP has apparently blocked access to a well-known and heavily trafficked blog that has been critical of Barack Obama. The site is zombietime.com. I am able to access the site using my backup telephone modem connection. I have not asked or agreed to allow my broadband ISP, MicroLnk, aka SpeedNet to apply any sort of filtering to my internet access. I beleve this may be a politically motivated decision at my ISP's corporate level, or it may just be a hack implemented by a pro-Obama employee of the company. In either case, I am outraged.

Because my broadband ISP has no real-time support on weekends, there is no way for me to report this apparent censorship. If you are a MicroLnk or SpeedNet customer, I would ask you to try to connect to zombietime. If you are blocked, please let me know. I am sufficiently sophisticated technologically to know that the problem is not at my end.

Brownshirt tactics have become so commonplace with the Obama camp that I would not be surprised if this is not another egregious example of the type of suppression of dissent that we may expect to become the norm in an Obama administration.

John McCain got a great reception in Miami yesterday. Florida has so many Americans who have their roots in Cuba that it comes as no surprise. If you want to hear about what Marxism (call it what you want: socialism, progressivism, communism, fabianism, collectivism, whatever) can do for America just listen to the Cubans. They know exactly what they are talking about; they either experienced it first hand or heard about it from their immigrant parents, Marxism ruined their former homeland.

For reasons I won't go into, I have always had a personal sympathy for Cuba. The cold war never came so close to going hot as it did over Cuba. Thinking about that doped-up rat JFK and his shameful treachery at the Bay of Pigs makes my blood boil.

A frequent commenter here, Canuckguy, who hails from our neighbor to the north, thinks Obama will bring Marxism to America the same way that Robert Mugabe brought Marxism to Zimbabwe-Rhodesia. What an awful prospect for Nebraska, an agricultural state. Can Obama take the oath of the office he seeks?

How could Barack Obama take this oath when he believes that the Constitution is fundamentally flawed?

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Listen to this audio that is linked on the Drudge Report today. It is from a Chicago Public Radio Show, Odyssey, which aired in 2001. Then listen to this other excerpt. (The entire hour-long show may be heard with RealPlayer from the original CPR archives here.) I already knew Obama was a Marxist. What these tapes reveal is how deeply he has internalized Marxist thinking and how little respect he has for the great men and women who came before him.

Barack Obama believes the US Constitution is nothing more than a 'remarkable political document', not the most basic law of the land, the very foundation upon which rests our republic. As Kim Priestap points out at Wizbang Blog, Barack constantly refers to the US Constitution in the past tense. Barack is a lawyer, this use of language isn't accidental, it is base sophistry. From Kim's post:

First, note that during all of his remarks he speaks of the Constitution in past tense instead of in present tense. I don't remember hearing any nominee to the US Supreme Court speak of the Constitution in this manner, so this is more than semantics.

Second, he calls the Constitution a "remarkable political document." I think it's fair to say that our Constitution is more than just a political document. It's the supreme law of our nation. It's the foundation of our republic. It outlines our freedoms by stating clearly what the government can't do to us and there's a reason why our Founding Fathers deliberately structured it that way. The President of the United States is required to swear to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States. However, by listening to what Obama said in this interview and the 2001 interview that Steve posted earlier it's clear: he thinks the Constitution is fundamentally flawed. And based upon his words what other logical conclusion can someone come to other than Obama doesn't think the Constitution should be protected but should be radically altered so it reflects his leftist views.

Leftist views? These ideas go far beyond what we commonly call leftist views. What Barack Obama wants to do is nothing short of the imposition of morally and economically bankrupt Marxist thought on America through the corruption of our Constitution. As Steve Schippert writes at Wizbang: "Barack Obama, the favorite to be elected the President of the United States of America in barely a week's time, sees the American Constitution as an obstacle rather than a guiding document." What has happened to the Democrat party? Joe the plumber's fears were well founded.

What Barack's friends Bill Ayers and the Weathermen could not accomplish with bombs, and what his mentor Frank Marshall Davis could not do with words, Barack Obama thinks he can do by flouting the presidential oath of office. That oath includes no promise to "break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers" in the Constitution. If he swears or affirms that oath he will be lying.

BFD, I guess. We already know Barack to be a liar.

This essay only exists to correct and unequivocally debunk claims routinely made by the mainstream media over the last few weeks about William Ayers, his beliefs, and the purpose behind his bombing campaign during the 1970s.

I discovered a web page that had been scrubbed from the New Party's website. The web page which was published in October 1996, was an internet newsletter update on that years congressional races. Although the web page was deleted from the New Party's website, the non-profit Internet Archive Organization had archived the page.

NewsBusters: Will MSM Report on Obama Membership in Socialist New Party?

The mainstream media thought that the membership of Todd Palin, who is not a candidate for any office, in the Alaska Independence Party important enough to report in such outlets as the Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, and the New York Times, among others.

Gateway Pundit: Confirmed: MSM Holds Video Of Barack Obama Attending Jew-Bash & Toasting a Former PLO Operative... Refuse to Release the Video!

LA Times writer Peter Wallsten wrote about Barack Obama's close association with former Palestinian operative Rashid Khalidi back in April.
Wallsten discussed a dinner held back in 2003 in honor of Khalidi, a critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinian rights. Barack Obama has denied his close association with Khalidi, too. Barack Obama also praised the former PLO operative during the event. And, Obama confessed that his family often shared dinner with the Khalidis:

His many talks with the Khalidis, Obama said, had been "consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases... It's for that reason that I'm hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation -- a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid's dinner table," but around "this entire world."

...The event was videotaped, and a copy of the tape was obtained by The Times.

Khalidi and the Obamas were great friends in Chicago and often shared meals together.
By the way, Khalidi was also best friends with Bill Ayers.

This is the very same reason traditionalist Reds in Germany opposed the National Socialist upstart, Hitler. Larijani sits out the regular crap game in the Iranian Parliament

We hear lots of stories about Obamacons, conservatives who are supporting TheOne in his quest to ascend to his rightful place in the American firmament. Now another prominent conservative voice has joined the choir:

Larijani: Iran prefers Obama - Israel News, Ynetnews: "Iranian parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Wednesday that Iran would prefer Democrat Barack Obama in the White House next year. Larijani also dismissed any idea that the US would attack Iran.

'We are leaning more in favor of Barack Obama because he is more flexible and rational, even though we know American policy will not change that much,' Larijani said at a press conference during a visit to Bahrain.

How to deal with Iran and the crisis over its nuclear drive has been one of the foreign policy issues in the Nov. 4 race for the White House between Obama and Republican John McCain.

Larijani, a leading figure in the conservative camp in Iran, also said the United States was too busy dealing with the global financial crisis to consider waging an attack on Iran." [emphasis added]

Who knew Iran had conservatives, too? We feel better just knowing there are prominent figures in the Iranian government who support small government, the market economy, low taxes and individual liberty. If even Iranian conservatives can come out in support of Barack Obama, we can all rest easier at the prospect of an Obama Dynasty.

Communist must be a code word for Barack Obama.

I heard about this newest and most disgusting play of the presidential election Race Card from the Gateway Pundit: Lewis Diuguid, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist writes that the "Socialist" Label Is Code Word For "Black". Obama really brings out the worst in people. Lewis wouldn't know history if it sat next to him on the bus. The good folks in KC ought to be ashamed.

Sadly, Mr. Diuguid's analysis tells us more about his state of mind than Senator McCain's. Obama is being labelled as a socialist because of his encounter with Joe the Plumber. Moreover, if socialist is a code word for black, what did it mean when Human Events applied it to John Kerry, and how do you explain the D=S web site?

The Cat also connects this piece of low level journalism to a pattern that labels any and all criticism of Obama as racism. He goes on to note that, "[w]hile this tactic is used more often by Obama supporters than Obama himself, those supporters are not going to change when he gets in the White House. Things could get really ugly."

The writer for TheHill, Alexander Bolton, tries to avoid the racist label by suggesting that the police might also be girding their loins out of concern for what Sarah Palin's supporters might do if John McCain and the second woman vice presidential candidate loses. The Confederate Yankee asks: "does anyone really expect women or Republicans to riot if McCain and Palin aren't elected?"

The media is running scared, and its because of those darn socialists.

Mohammedan fanatics did this 25 years ago. These terrorist murderers are the same monsters that Barack Obama thinks have legitimate claims. The same madmen that have been supported by Barack Obama's church. We haven't learned the lesson of Islamic Jihad yet.

Perhaps terrorism is just another code-word white folks are using to "do" Obama.
