Whats a two year sentence compared to an 18 year commitment?

A bill has been introduced in the Texas state legislature creating the crime of "infanticide". The bill defines infanticide this way:

willfully by an act or omission caus[ing] the death of a child to whom the person gave birth within the 12-month period preceding the child’s death and if the person’s judgment was impaired as a result of the effects of giving birth or the effects of lactation following the birth

What it means is that upset mothers who kill their own children (up to one year of age) will be guilty of infanticide. The offense is punishable by a maximum of two years in the state jail. Thats right, two years.

The Catholic News Agency reports that a Texas pro-life advocate says the bill, "conveys the message that newborns and infants are "less valuable people". Folks that murder kids under six years of age in Texas can face the death penalty. Go figure.

Nancy Pelosi - Stretching the Truth

From Cigar Mike at Babalu Blog: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi claims that natural gas isn't a fossil fuel. Rush Limbaugh has details of an interview with Tom Brokaw in which Nancy said repeatedly that natural gas wasn't a fossil fuel. Her point was that natural gas would help provide the energy America needs until hope and change bring the new miracle alternative energy sources into being. Without the drill here, drill now idea that is gaining support every day.

Right off the bat, Pelosi is wrong about natural gas. It is a fossil fuel. Worse yet, she seems ignorant of the fact that this bridge-the-gap energy source must be obtained by drilling wells for it. The stuff is usually found in conjunction with oil deposits. Could the Third most powerful person in Washington, DC really be so ignorant? I think not.

Nancy Pelosi didn't get rich by being utterly ignorant of the facts. She is simply counting on her belief that most ordinary (read: not of the leftist elite) Americans are helplessly ignorant. That may be true of Nancy's constituency, but the rest of us can see where her real interest in natural gas lies. Follow the money.

Nancy Pelosi and her husband have big dollar investments in T. Boone Pickens' energy scheme, which includes burning natural gas from his oilfields until he can con America into buying windmills from his companies. From the Washington Wire at the WSJ:

Pelosi and her husband drew attention recently for their investment in T. Boone Pickens’s Clean Energy Fuels Corp., which markets compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas as a fuel for motor vehicles. Some leading Democrats, including Pelosi, have been eying legislation to encourage such uses of natural gas, as soaring gasoline prices have put pressure on Congress to do something. Amid steady pressure from Republicans, both Pelosi and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama also have signaled that they’re open to expanding offshore oil drilling, as long as it’s part of a comprehensive package that includes other energy alternatives.

Pelosi’s investment in Clean Energy – between $50,000 and $100,000 – is a tiny fraction of the speaker’s assets, as she pointed out on Sunday. “That’s not the point,” she added. “I’m investing in something I believe in.”

Those selfless liberals! Its always 'something they believe in', isn't it?

While I'm on the subject of beliefs, Nancy Pelosi is, in her own words "an ardent Catholic". She is so ardent in her Catholic faith that she has usurped the Pope, re-written the Catechism and put words into the mouths of the Saints. Speaking on "Meet the Press" last Sunday, she said that none other than Saint Augustine agrees that human life doesn't begin at conception.

Many folks claim they are Catholics and at the same time rationalize their support for abortion. I'm not a Catholic, but Pelosi's abortion position sounds like someone arguing that it would still be basketball if the players were allowed to run with the ball. Or a Baptist repudiating the resurrection.

Believe whatever you like, but the Catholic Church has never, ever condoned procured abortions. Not at any stage of gestation and not for any reason. At least that is what the archbishop of Washington, DC is saying in response to Pelosi's pronouncements. Even at the risk of going to hell, Pelosi is putting politics before facts and truth, and refuses to back down on the matter. After all, Nancy has studied theology for years.

Many young people in America never had a chance to participate in the racist violence that was once so popular here. Since the 1960's, when do-gooders, lefty judges and bleeding hearts began forcing a raft of so-called Civil Rights laws upon us, it has been seriously illegal to kill Negroes or other minorities just to reduce their numbers.

For those readers who missed out on the baseball bat night-rides, the vigilante justice and the church bombings of the good old days, there is still an opportunity to murder Negro children legally. And you can do it from the comfort of your easy chair! All you need is some money and a phone call to your local Planned Parenthood office. The good cats at PP will use your money to kill as many Negro babies as you can afford. Licensed medical doctors will pull the little pickaninnies or beaner babies right out of their mother's womb and kill them in your name.

I heard about this great opportunity on the radio this morning. From Rush Limbaugh's Morning Update:

Recently UCLA law student James O'Keefe -- advisor for The Advocate, a pro-life student publication -- called Planned Parenthood in Ohio and Idaho, posing as a donor. Not just any donor; a donor with racist motives who wanted his donations directly targeted toward minority women.

According to Cybercast News Service, the donor told Planned Parenthood in Ohio that he wanted to "underwrite" an abortion "for a minority" since there "are way too many black people in Ohio." Planned Parenthood responded: "Well, for whatever reason, we'll accept the money."

Another call was handled by Planned Parenthood's Idaho office Director of Development, a woman named Autumn. The donor told her he wanted to give money "for a black baby" because he has trouble "with affirmative action," and "the less black kids out there, the better." Autumn answered: "Understandable, understandable." And then she said: "Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I have a donor... make this kind of request, so I'm excited, and want to make sure I don't leave anything out."

The Ohio office confirmed that the call took place; their CEO calls what happened a "very upsetting" violation of policy.

Now, given Planned Parenthood's strong political ties to the Democrat Party, don't look for congressional hearings -- or, for that matter, any concern at all. The two presidential liberals (Barack or Hillary) won't be asked their views, nor will this make the Drive-By nightly news. Because, after all, as far as liberals are concerned... we're only talking about black kids here -- no big deal.

I wonder if you can get a certificate. When the good ol' boys get to bragging on their nigger whuppin' days, you could show them you've made your bones and earned your seat on that old sofa at the gas station.

Planned Parenthood isn't only about reducing the flood of colored people. They have some fun stuff for the whole family. Call your representatives in Congress and ask them to give even more of your tax dollars to Planned Parenthood. See if you can get it earmarked for genocide.

In a nauseating display of political disinformation (or ignorance) Douglas Kmiec, constitutional law chair at Pepperdine University in Malibu, writes in Slate: "Sorry, McCain. Barack Obama is a natural for the Catholic vote." Yes, and night is day. Carl Olson fisks the article here at Insight Scoop.

I'm not a Catholic, but I'm betting that the Pope hasn't changed church policy on abortion. At least not so far as to include Barack Obama's extreme views.

Look on the good side. After President Obama gets finished appointing federal judges and Supreme Court justices, it will be OK to kill your children any time before their 18th birthday. If you think they might be endangering your physical or mental health, that is.

Just the price of Freedom?

Lorie Byrd writing at TownHall suggests today that the civil depredations wrought by Cho-like crazies, unrepairable child molesters and street schizos are simply the price we must pay for freedom. I wonder if Lorie would agree that more aborted babies should be part of the bill? Why shouldn't we be 'free' to drive as fast as we want? Wouldn't the increase in the already ±30.000/year number of dead on the roads just be added to our freedom tab?

Civilized society is no more than a balancing act? Aren't some things just plain wrong no matter whether they are relatively 'costly' or not?

In my effort to point out the dangers of applying the old saw about the "Price of Freedom" too freely, I failed to make clear that my questions to Lorie were rhetorical. Less stigma = more killing

As a man, I don't have much to say about abortion except that I wouldn't want to be an abortionist. But I have to wonder why this is newsworthy: More women have abortions as it loses stigma.

I can think of a few big lumps of flesh I might consider killing if there just wasn't so darn much stigma attached to murder.

Note that the source quoted in the referenced article, Ann Furedi is not only the CEO of England's largest private abortion provider, but her husband, Frank, is the founder of the British Revolutionary Communist Party. Ann also used to write for Living Marxism magazine. Why is it that Marxism and and abortion have become so closely connected? I don't think Marx himself was pro-choice. Could it be because there is no place for God in Marxist thought?

Saw this on Drudge: More Abortions Than Births in Russia -- Health Official... a Mosnews.commie story (which really comes from Bloomberg, so it could be true): "Russians, whose lives are shorter and poorer than they were under communism, have more abortions than births to avoid the costs of raising children".

Wah wah wah. Those commie squares let their nasty government threaten me with nuclear doomsday since I can remember. Now that they can't get the government to steal from their neighbors for them, they find themselves too f--ked up to steal, their initiative atrophied and their hopes revealed for Marxist lies.

Seeing as how the Russians' lives are so wretched these days, it's probably a blessing that they are shorter.
