Kelsey Peterson, the former Lexington Nebraska middle school teacher who plead guilty to having a sexual relationship with a student has been sentenced to 6 years in federal prison. Kelsey began molesting the male student when he was just 12 years old. She will start doing her time, less the year she has already been incarcerated, at a women's prison in Pekin, Illinois.Miss Peterson could still face state charges that include kidnapping. I suspect, along with her lawyer James Martin Davis, that the state will drop these charges now that Kelsey is locked up. I don't know if sex crazed female teachers are as prone to recidivism as male child molesters.
U.S. District Judge Laurie Smith Camp, who sentenced the 26 year old Peterson, said she did not believe Kelsey was a sexual predator, but added that she lacked good judgment and was immature. The judge said Kelsey "seems to be on the level of a junior high school student."

Unlike Debra LaFave, another infamous sex crazed teacher, who was deemed "too pretty for jail", Kelsey never posed on a motorcycle while wearing a bikini.
