Moral Bearings

Obama gives the glad hand to dictator Hugo Chavez
Barack Obama has recently stated that the use of any kind of torture by US officials is wrong, even if it helps prevent deadly terrorist attacks. The fact that the Bush administration evidently used aggressive and unpleasant interrogation techniques to good effect is, in President Obama's view, evidence that our nation has "lost its moral bearings". I'm sure our President wouldn't approve of local police departments here in the 'States torturing suspects either. Proper moral bearings, after all, begin at home.

At about the same time as Obama was posturing on the torture high road, he was fawning over a whole gang of South American dictators, strongmen and communist stooges at the ALBA summit meeting. All the while these nasty thugs beat up on America, El Negro (as Chavez actually calls our President) smiled like a dog eating shit.

Obama was caught on camera being particularly chummy with Venezuela's Marxist-Leninist coke-head 'President for Life', Hugo Chavez. Some folks didn't like the gang-style handshake. Others with a more modern 'bent' to their moral bearings thought the negative reaction was inappropriate. Like this especially misguided analysis by Pat Murphy in the Idaho Mountain Express.

Of course, Obama's secret handshake pal, Hugo Chavez would never allow torture to be used in his country, would he? Well take a look at this video of Venezuelan cops 'torturing' a naked man:
Batter Up in Venezuela
The video is somewhat shocking, and features a fully nude man. Don't look if you are squeamish or might have a perverse prurient interest in such sights. If this video is too nasty for you, and you can understand butchered Spanish, you can watch Chavez discuss his diarrhea right here. No kidding.

I'm sure none of the other countries of Latin America, not even los hermanos Castro, would ever allow torture in their countries. I have more videos and testimonials, but they nauseate me so much I won't include them here. Perhaps I'll start a Torturer of the Month feature, so the rest of South America and the Carribean won't feel left out.

A tip of Arnie's pork pie hat to the blog "Solo en Venezuela" (Only in Venezuela). I'm patting myself on the back as well, for not using PTG's favorite saw, "There was such a case in Venezuela".

Busy Blogger

Obama's Red Tentacles
The old feeder is busy trying to load ancient software into a cutting-edge computer. Having no experience with Windows Vista, and even less with 64-bit processor architecture, its been time-consuming. Its almost enough to make me yearn for the old DOS days. Only almost.

I could use the automatic blog post generator, but I haven't been that far out of touch. One thing I'm concerned about: commie agitators in South America being encouraged by Russia's Vlad Putin. Its bad enough to see Castro lovers wearing Che shirts here in Omaha. As far as I'm concerned, Marxists ought to stay the heck out of the western hemisphere. I guess that is old fashioned thinking, given that we have a Marxist running for president right here at home.

Feel free to copy and use the new Obama poster at the top of this post. I made it out of the picture on the cover of an old pamphlet named "How Communism Works".

Venezolanos: Vota No

Update: 11:40 PM - Results are in from Venezuela
Hugo Chavez gets a NO vote - 51%-49%
Now, to see if the tin-horn dictator can let the results stand.
~~~
¡Vota NO! ¡Communismo NO! ¡Chavez NO!
Today is the day. Don't let the Marxist idiot Hugo Chavez assume the role of dictator for life. Rise up, Venezuela, and drive this loco from your country. Here's at least one Venezuelan blogger who has already voted NO! Stop Hugo before he ruins Venezuela totalmente.
For many informative and thoughtful blog reactions, see Babalu Blog today.
---
Update II: Hugo Chavez is claiming an early victory in Al Jazeera. Riehl World View notes: "Interesting that this would first turn up on Al Jazeera, via Reuters, ay? Very interesting. Ai yi-yi.
---
Update: Polls are favoring a NO vote in Venezuela. Michelle Malkin's blog has the numbers. If Chavez cannot claim a victory, look for the thug to call in his secret Yanqui election fixer.
---
Same goes for Putin. How many cheese-ball, tin-horn dictators can we stand?
Marxist thought stinks on ice.
Is Chavez sucking life from the bearded one?
Sancho Chavez & his Don Quixote
The south's newest and shiniest tinhorn commie dictator Hugo Chavez has been to Havana for trade talks. Now it seems that through "non cash" trade, Venezuleans will get Free Medical Care al estilo Cubano. Cuba gets oil, Chavez gets a blessing and photo-op with his spiritual leader. Together they cooked up plans for taking over the world, as Bolsheviks are always wont to do. Calling it the "Boliviarian Alternative for the Americas, which would tie together the region's developing nations without U.S. involvement ... aimed at opposing a US-backed pact, the Free Trade Area of the Americas," these clowns are a laff a minute. (If you don't live in Cuba or Venerealzuela.)
From the April 24, 2005 Daily Dish at Cool Blue Blog:
I wonder if Venezuela is worried that it is becoming some kind of parody. Recently, the mindless ruler there who seems to have a knack for pissing people off, declared that Don Quixote is a "must read" for Venezuelans and has used taxpayer money to print and distribute one million copies of the book.
"Don't be left without your Quixote!" Chavez said earlier this week. "We are all going read Quixote to feed our spirit with this fighter who came out to get rid of injustice and fix the world."
"To some degree, we are followers of Quixote," he added.
Whatever happened to the separation of fiction and state?
His foes, many of whom call him "El Loco," or "The Madman," said it was fitting the government was distributing the book about a hallucinating knight wandering through Spain with his faithful companion Sancho Panza.
Don't you think that the roles are different? I think Chavez looks more like Sancho Panza, while castro looks like the crazy Quixote. Compare.
At least neither one of these jerks is likely to visit the USA any time soon. We know fidel is scared to come here , and according to CNN's ugly international sister Hugo Chavez promised that he would not visit the United States again until we Americans "liberate" it from opression by our own government. Only Jimmy Carter could listen to such crap without laughing.
I have noticed that fidel grows pale and wan lately, while Chavez is plumper and more sanguine than ever. I suspect that Chavez is actually drinking the old barbudo's blood, or using some of his 'zuelan jungle ju-ju to absorb fidel's energy. After all, fidel is a son of white aristocracy and Chavez seems un poco mas indio to me.
Peri-Idiotico 26 in the trough, and yes, I did distort the CNN foto.
There actually was such a case in Venezuela
Narizones
A few years ago I was looking for some information on the assassination of President Kennedy. I had been reading a book on Ted Kennedy's adventures at Chappaquiddick, Senatorial Privilege, and wanted to check some facts the author, Leo Damore, used. An Alta Vista search for "Hands off Cuba", the title of a commie screed Lee Harvey Oswald had been passing out, yielded a surprisingly big list of communist organizations.
I noticed today that you can get a huge updated list of such groups by doing a Google search using "Hands off Venezuela". Every national communist party, wacko commie interest group, association of fellow travelers, and assorted useful idiots will be listed. It's important to know your enemy. That's why I went to law school.
Chavez, what a sorry son of a bitch. Bush won't kill him. And now the dumpy, middle-aged revolucionario has become the new Big Hero of the leftist elite, it having come to their attention that Che Guevara is dead. Bad Hair Blog reports on just how Cool this sad sack of a dictator has become. Val Prieto of Babalu Blog is calling him Che-avez, and notes that Venezuela might just be sliding towards authoritarian rule!
I used to tell people I that if bad times got worse, I would go start a new life in Venezuela. In those days, Caracas sounded like a pleasant, warm, cheap place to settle. Where they wouldn't ask too many questions as long as a fellow had some cash. Gas was a fifteen cents a gallon, I speak Spanish, the natives seemed to be having fun. Now I'll have to think of a new refuge.
Get on with it, already!
Castro Warns of Possible Assassination Plot Against Venezuelan President Chavez. Mr. Castro, long-time communist chump claims Olympic record for having survived hundreds of murder attempts orchestrated by Washington. Don't believe it! The scurrilous bloodsucker was smart to bring his own chickens to New York, but if "Washington" wanted him dead, he would be dead. Same goes for his little Venezuelan puppy, Che-vez. When "Washington" really gets serious about wanting someone dead, they don't put a reward on his head or try to slip him poison cigars, as the conspiracy folks would have you believe. The heavies from "Washington" don't even like to poison their target's soup or jab him with a poison umbrella, as the ComBlock skullduggers do.
They just see to it that the target gets shot dead.
Just ask Che.
