Another Amnesty Amendment - Say No!

Express your disappointment that the sneaking weasels of our:
Senate Appropriations Committee chose to include in the War Supplemental more than 100 pages of immigration language that would grant legal status to more than one million illegal alien agricultural workers and their families.
You may do so by signing Senator Jim Inhofe's No Amnesty letter. I fail to see what granting amnesty to criminal immigrants has to do with appropriations to help win the war in Iraq.

You'd think our Senators never heard of the internets; they still think they can sneak one past us. Sign the Inhofe letter and consider logging in at NumbersUSA. Send a message that will help lower Harry Reid's expectations.

Amnesty Zombie Rises Again

It won't stay dead!
Stop the Democrats (and a few renegade RINOs like Senator Hagel of Nebraska) from ramming Amensty For Illegals down our throats TODAY. Call or fax your Senator. Tell them you aren't fooled by their procedural shenanigans.

Here is the message I faxed to Senator Hagel this morning:
Amnesty is amnesty. We don't want it. I'm embarrassed that you continue to act against the wishes and best interests of your constituents here in Nebraska now that you know you couldn't get elected dog catcher in this state today. Stop using the power that our votes gave you to pass laws we don't want.
Please, get on the phone, use NumbersUSA to send free faxes, or send an e-mail to your Senators now. Don't let them run amok with the power your votes gave them. Lets drive a stake through the amnesty zombie's heart.

Updated: The zombie is sent back to its grave. Watch out, it will be back again.

Senator Voinovich: Clueless on Amnesty Bill

Ohio Senator George 'no facts' Voinovich
You really should listen to talk radio host Sean Hannity's interview with Senator George Voinovich. It reveals that the Republican from Ohio is utterly ignorant of the contents of the pending legislation and has no command of important facts relevant to any discussion of its worthiness. Like, how much the Shamnesty Bill will cost the American taxpayers. Voinovich gets so flummoxed he hangs up on Sean.

Reminds me of a day a few months ago. I saw that Nebraska had received umpty-dum federal dollars to spend on Nebraska's homeless. I wondered just how many dollars per homeless person in Nebraska this amount would cover. I called Congressman Lee Terry's office here in Nebraska to ask how many homeless there were in our state. They didn't know, and acted like I was out of line to ask. I called Lee's office in Washington. Still no answer. In fact, I couldn't find a single one of my elected representatives in Washington, House or Senate, Republican or Democrat, that had any idea how many homeless we had. One suggested I call the local shelter. For all their promises to call me back with an answer, I'm still waiting.

These cats spend our money and try to fight our wars without bothering to ascertain the most relevant facts. I don't know what they do base their Congressional votes upon, but it isn't facts. Voinovich is just an example. No wonder these oligarchs want to muzzle talk radio.

You should write a "strongly worded letter" to your Senators today. Ben Nelson is reportedly backing away from this ill advised legislation. Encourage him.

Mexamericanada and the SPP

Bumped up to the top, dammit.
The Amnesty Bill: America's worst nightmare? Or could it be that double dealers in government have already committed our nation to becoming the sugar daddy of a new Mexamericanada? What is the SPP? Thanks to Jody at Iowa Geek.
---
The SPP logo looks a bit UN-ish, no
---
Addendum: Glenn Beck gets it. Mexamericanada isn't just a phantom. You can call it Mexica or The North American Union but its still a bad idea from the US point of view. Canada is largely unproductive and dangerously Marxist. Huge segments of the Canadian populace are net tax consumers. The same can be said for Mexico in Spades. Large portions of the Mexican countryside are beyond the control of the national government. Communist movements thrive among the oppressed Indians. Mexican political graft beggars the word corruption. What could "partners" like these possibly offer? Nada, eh?

Call your Senators. Tell them the fence comes first.

Amnesty Bill - Shoot it again, its still twitching

The Amnesty bill threatens to rise from its shallow grave. If you are lucky enough to have a Senator that gives a damn what you think, be sure to give their office a call today. I'm against it.

Amnesty Now!

San Ysidro Border Crossing
How many disaffected Mexicans are packing their suitcases right now? If the Senate can't stop it, another amnesty is in the works. Mexamerica can't be far behind.

I'd be willing to give Mexico Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico for them to set up their nasty Aztlan nation. On the condition that all Mexican and other south-of-the-border illegal aliens in the rest of America move there immediately.

I'd even be so kind as to offer a small window of opportunity for the American citizens now living in the ceded states to repatriate to the US. After the window closes, though, they become Mexicans or Aztlanians or whatever.

Ben Nelson or Chuck Hagel: Which is the Republican?

SeƱator Chuck 'Amnesty Now' Hagel
In a frenzy of feel-good legislating last spring, the US Senate voted to build a measly 370 miles of new fence along the US - Mexico border. Now the Senate amnesty crowd have voted not to fund the fence, in the hope, I suppose, that the voters who were howling about the need for improved border controls would forget. Maybe they thought they could fly this chicanery behind the smokescreen of international squabbling over the Israelis pounding the be-mohammed out of their nasty neighbors. Not surprising from the wimps in the Senate.

Another not surprising aspect of this duplicitous vote was that Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel again took sides with the Democrats and the rest of the wetback amnesty wussies. Again, no surprise, our Senator Ben Nelson was one of only two Democrat Senators voting to give the American people what they so desperately want: secure borders. Check out how the Senate voted here.

Who is the real Republican in Nebraska's Senatorial duo? It ain't Chuck Hagel. Too bad there are otherwise politically astute cats who think we should dump Ben Nelson for a "real" Republican, Pete Ricketts. I say we shouldn't take a chance on getting stuck with another RINO like Hagel. Partisan numbers don't count in Congress, votes do. Ben Nelson has my support

Mas: A Senate vote in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Update: From Futurama at Blog-Sothoth,
Funny to hear Chuck Hagel on Larry King last night suggesting Jim Baker go to the Middle East to broker peace: does Hagel (whom occasionally I find agreeable) remember Baker saying "Fuck the Jews, they don't vote for us anyway?"
What a statesman! If that's how Chuck would handle delicate diplomatic maneuvering if he were President, I'll take vanilla. Or Jeb Bush.

Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel shames us again

Updated: Hagel strikes twice in one week! see below

Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel - illegal day legislator
The U.S. Senate has voted to kill the 'Ensign amendment' which would have made the years illegal immigrants worked illegally not count toward qualifying for Social Security benefits. I wasn't even aware that it did. The old feeder is past retirement age and still hasn't accumulated enough years of gainful employment to qualify for Social Security retirement benefits. Piss me off! Why, I worked legally (more or less) for 40 years (off and on). No SS for me. Nation of Laws, my ass.

If you want to know more, you can get the skinny at Michelle Malkin and Power Line, another primo blog. The worst part of it, for us Nebraskans, is that Hot Air reports that our Republican Senator Carlos al-Hagel, was one of 11 Republican Senators voting to defeat this sensible measure. The same "It's Viet-Nam! It's Viet Nam!" Chuck Hagel that has been courting the left of center vote in a bid for the Presidency in '08. It will never happen, Chuck.
---
Hagel Update: Today Senator Chuck Hagel voted to kill yet another amendment that would have helped discourage illegal immigration: the Kyl amendment to the immigration bill . It would have prevented temporary guest worker visas from becoming permanent. I guess temporary doesn't really mean temporary. Anyhow, Senator Hagel voted with the rest of the amnesty and 'open borders' crowd. Thanks be to AllahPundit 's post at Hot Air.
