Naughty Moslem Girls

This week's cheesecake post is for our peace-loving Mohammedan friends. All of them aren't Koran-thumping Jihadi throat cutters. At least not all the time. The old feeder knows this because we get a number of hits every day from Mahometist countries that are clearly using the internets to look for pornography.

That is, when they aren't searching with key words like "anti islam hate group" on Google Image Search. Which gets them to this Plains Feeder post. I wonder if they think we really do stick signs on Moslems' backs here in Nebraska?

As for the Arabic language porno searchers, I'm logging their IP numbers. Perhaps their local authorities charged under Sharia law with discouraging vice and encouraging virtue will be interested. I hate to think what will happen to the ones that get caught leering at this post. Haram or makruh, it can't be good.

If you still want to see really naughty Peek-a-Burqa Mohammedan porn, first check out this Imam censored sample. Just to be sure.

Show Hagel the Gate in '08

Amnesty Now!
From the McCook area's Southwest Nebraska News: the Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom have started a campaign to rid Nebraska politics of Senator Chuck Hagel. They (read: Doug Kagan, et al.) are calling it Show Hagel the Gate in '08 . According to the McCook paper, the reason for the campaign is Senator Hagel's collaboration with Ted Kennedy to give amnesty to illegal aliens. I can think of more reasons to dump Chuck, but hey, one is enough.
---
BTW: The catch-phrase "Show Hagel the Gate in '08" has been on Doug Kagan's mind for some time. I'm guessing this is his comment at Ankle Biting Pundits last year. Doug wants to see Fred Thompson as our next President. His NTF outfit also has a Gun Owner's Rights section. Heck, I'll put him on the blogroll.
---
Robert Novak, on the other hand, has written a truly sickening puff piece about Senator Hagel. Talk about Washington cats being out of touch. From the Senate2008Guru:
Robert "Count Chocula" Novak presents Chuck Hagel with this super-softball column, offering another indication that the DC-GOP establishment is behind him as state AG Jon Bruning gains steam in his possible primary challenge. Unfortunately for Hagel, I don't think Novak votes in the NE-GOP primaries.
I think its high time Senator Hagel disclosed how much he is paying for haircuts these days.
---
Vintage Hagel: the 2000 election. Mighty rare.
---
Updated: Read the most poignant, heart-wrenching story ever written about Chuck Hagel: Myra MacPherson's The private war of Chuck and Tom Hagel at Salon.com. You will feel so sorry for Chuck you might want to vote for him again. To me it is just more of the same old wah-wah from the Sad Sack Senator from Nebraska.

The story is reprinted in this nauseating venue, Veterans for Progress. More like Veterans for Cryptosocialism, if you ask me. Fah!

Smelled like - victory

I love the smell of 2,4-D in the morning.
"You smell that? Do you smell that?... 2,4-D , son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of 2,4-D in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill sprayed for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' pigweed or burdock. The smell, you know, that herbicide smell, the whole hill. Smelled like - victory."

Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel

Nebraska bloggers need to kick our Senator Chuck Hagel some more. He is still making noises. We should also let Chuck and Ben know we don't appreciate having our entire Senate delegation voting for for what amounts to defeatist treachery. At least Ben Nelson can cover his ass with his Democrat Party card, but Hagel has no excuse. Maybe we should recall him.

Downriver Dhimmis in Kansas City

Coming to your town soon
I saw it at WorldNetDaily. Just a few hundred miles down the Muddy Missouri, perilously close to Omaha, the Kansas City Dhimmis have gone to some expense to construct special foot washing facilities for the Mohammedans that use the airport. Seems Allah won't hear the prayers of them with dirty feet. Note that Muzzies need to wash quite a bit before praying to Allah. And if they fart after they wash but before they pray, they need to wash all over again, no fooling!

Sickening, isn't it? These cats think they can appease the Jihad and the New Caliphate with Dhimmitude. Oh, well. I suppose this is just another sign that Harry Reid is right: we've lost. Some bloggers are contrasting WorldNetDaily's complaint with their other desire to allow the 10 Commandments on public property. All I can say to those like Red State Rabble is: we aren't at war with Fundamental Christianity. More visionary blogs, like Dhimmi Watch correctly predict that foot wash stations at the airport are just the beginning. The enemy means to Mohammedanize us one way or another.

My religion requires the ritual eating of a tasty pork chop with hash-brown potatoes and applesauce before prayer. Do you suppose I could get them to accommodate me for free at Omaha's Eppley Airfield? Someplace where I wouldn't have to sit with unclean Anabaptists or Missouri Synodists.
Ev'rythin's up to date in Kansas City
They've gone about as fur as they c'n fly!
They went and built a footwash at th' airport
So's the Muzzies c'n pray for you to die.
Apologies to Rodgers & Hammerstein

Carbon Credits: Sell! Sell! Sell!

Carbon Credits: time to sell short
Every blogger that spotted the Carbon Credit scheme as a scam is blogging about the Financial Times story pointing out the obvious. Words like bogus, fake, fraud, and worthless are being applied to the Kyotoish plan Al Gore and his friends use to gloss over their environmental hypocrisies. There are so many blogs jumping on this that my list o' links got too long to publish.

The Plains Feeder again sets itself apart from the crowd by actually offering our readers something they can do to profit from the collapse of the Carbon Credit market. Sell these bad puppies short!

Accused child rapist John Monetti takes the scenic route

to Nebraska
Update: Click for the latest post on John Monetti.

Updated
and re-posted April 25, 2007:
A Plains Feeder reader has sent the following:
I made a few phone calls to the Nebraska Federal District Court and the US Marshal's office to find out what I could about John Monetti. I found out that he is being held in Cass County, Nebraska. He has a date set for a jury trial: May 21st at 9:00 AM in the Omaha Federal Building before Chief Judge Joseph F. Bataillon. I'll try to attend.
Presumably, Mr. Monetti is being held at the City/County Law Enforcement Center in Plattesmouth, Nebraska, not far south of Omaha. The Cass County Sheriff helps lighten the load that local crime places on the county taxpayers by contracting with the US Marshal to hold prisoners awaiting trial in federal courts like Monetti.

Judge Bataillon, a Clinton appointee, has been called an Arrogant Activist Judge in the blogs and cursed at WorldNet Daily and everyone else who is against homosex marriages, when he struck down a popular amendment to the Nebraska State Constitution banning gay marriage. As for his record with child molesters and pedophiles, I've got nothing so far. Anyone heard anything?
---
Plains Feeder Reader Kay from Blair, Nebraska tipped me to this article in the Washington County Pilot Tribune & Enterprise. The feds are sending alleged child molester John Monetti back to Nebraska by bus to face federal charges. If you have ever endured a long bus trip, the kind that stops in every jerk-water town and is packed with cranky, sweaty but otherwise decent folks, then you can imagine how much worse a trip on a federal prison bus might be.

I'll bet that most of Monetti's fellow passengers weren't "respectable" members of the community before they got busted. Monetti's new mates will be murderers, illegal aliens, dope addicts and the like. Not just for this shameful bus trip, but until he is too old to molest little girls.

This is our stop!
John Monetti has no one to blame for his current and future circumstances but himself.

just.one.person

The Old Feeder's Old .45
Joe's Crabby Shack has come away from the nasty murders at Virginia Tech last week with something positive. I don't mean to sound like I'm barking out orders, but read this very poignant story first, then read Joes' very excellent post. If just one student had been armed that day...
---
Other bloggers are helping to spread this message of personal responsibility for safety, not just for your own protection, but also for that of your friends and neighbors. Here are a few, check their stories out:

Random Ramblings of a Republitarian

End the War on Freedom

Be responsible, get a weapon, learn to use it and carry it with you. Don't let a Virginia Tech or a Columbine or a Luby’s Cafeteria shooting spree happen in your presence. Be that "just one person".
----
Here is my own experience with being just.one.person:

Before we had the concealed carry law here in Nebraska, I read the law as allowing me to go armed unobtrusively under the reasonable man affirmative defense. Over about 30 years of doing so, it fell my lot to be just.one.person in less than a half-dozen incidents in the US.

Sometimes it was a firearm, sometimes a knife, but in every case no one was injured by my weapon. No one even got arrested, although the police did show up for one such incident, a bar fight in Lincoln.

Only one of these just.one.person experiences was purely self-defense, a 'road rager' sent to get back in his car at a stop light in Bellevue. I can remember him saying, "You wouldn't be so tough without that knife." No kidding. I would have gotten a beating. He got back into his car and I didn't even have to reach for the .45 under the seat.

The other times my inner reasonable man felt justified in offering deadly force, it was to prevent injury to another. The offer was always refused, nobody got hurt, no arrests.

Be just.one.person: its the no muss, no fuss, no bother way to deal with the Cho Seung-Huis and loco drunks that threaten you and your friends.
---
Once you have your weapon, know how to use it and are comfortable with carrying it, you should learn how to know when to use it. Read the Gunscribe's explication of 'situational awareness' and how it can save you from a load of grief. Then read this relevant anecdote recounting Joe's recent 'situational awareness' at the bars in Lincoln!

How to use just one square of butt-wipe or less

Great Plains TP
Another Rovian Conspiracy: St Wendeler is disgusted with his fellow alumnus Sheryl Crow's hypocritical plan to Save The World By Wiping Your Bum Less. Thats right. Even Sheryl's enormous carbon footprint can be assuaged by the rest of use using only one square of toilet paper per sitting.

As a tightwad, I can sympathize. I don't want to put any Canuck forest product workers out of a job, but I offer here a couple of time tested methods to avoid using costly store-bought butt-wipe. The first I leaned from my grandfather.

"You take three red corn cobs and one white corn cob with you when you go to crap.", he said. (Grandpa went behind the shed.) I could figure out that he meant that I was to use old, dry cobs to clean my perianal region, but I had to ask about the one white cob. The answer: "Use the white one to see if you need another red one."

The other method, while using manufactured paper, adheres to Cheryl's one-square rule. I got it from a Scotsman. Take a single square of tissue and fold it in half diagonally, forming a right triangle. Next you fold the square again to achieve a long, pointy triangle. Tear off and keep the very tip of this triangle, then open it from the base to form a truncated cone. Insert your preferred finger into the cone and wipe. Use the tip of the cone to clean under your fingernail. Q.E.D.

If you see someone scratching their ass in public today, don't be too quick to judge. Maybe they are saving the world for you.

Official George Bush Earth Day

Google Earth Day Logo
I wonder if all the hippies, Goreheads, GW pop-sci doomsayers and one-world Marxist dupes who are observing Earth Day today know that there are two of them? One is the real commie one-worlder Earth Day, and it is held on the Vernal Equinox. Today's Earth Day is a government program. It was started by and is run by the US government. It is said that Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson got the idea after seeing an oil spill, went back to Nixon's Washington and made Earth Day a law.

As an official US Government event, Earth Day is run by the President, currently George Bush. So get outside and thank the Creator for everything you see. Its not just the law, its what George Bush wants you to do.
---
Addendum: It is also Lenin's birthday. No connection to Earth Day, of course. It is also the birth date of Jack Nicholson, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Vladimir Nabokov, Eddie Albert, Immanuel Kant and Queen Isabella, among other notables.

Mohammed: Dogs Unclean - Dogs: The Sentiment is Mutual

Haraam Hound
Certainly you have heard about the Mohammedan taxi cab drivers in Minneapolis that jam up the airport by refusing to give rides to fares carrying alcohol or accompanied by a dog. Mohammed himself is on record in his Koran as a dog hater, hence Mohammedans figure that touching or being near a dog might ruin their chances of entering paradise. These two videos from Iraq might just help you understand why muzzie cabbies don't like dogs: the feeling is mutual! Cop a Laugh.

Draft Fred Thompson

Plains Feeder - Draft Fred
Fred Thompson should be the next President of the United States. The more I learn about Fred Thompson, the more I am impressed. I'm throwing my support into the effort to see Fred become the Republican nominee for the Presidency. He evokes my fine memories of Ronald Reagan.

Read more about Fred and his lovely wife, Jeri (Kehn) at the newly updated Fredipedia. The more you learn, the more you will like the idea of sending Fred and Jeri Thompson to the White House. You can ask Fred to run here.
---
Fresh: Fred Thompson writes in the National Review of the uselessness of Gun-free Zones such as the one that failed to stop Virginia Tech madman Cho Seung Hui.

Just the price of Freedom?

Lorie Byrd writing at TownHall suggests today that the civil depredations wrought by Cho-like crazies, unrepairable child molesters and street schizos are simply the price we must pay for freedom. I wonder if Lorie would agree that more aborted babies should be part of the bill? Why shouldn't we be 'free' to drive as fast as we want? Wouldn't the increase in the already ±30.000/year number of dead on the roads just be added to our freedom tab?

Civilized society is no more than a balancing act? Aren't some things just plain wrong no matter whether they are relatively 'costly' or not?
---
Fix: I need to clear this up right now. Lorie Byrd, whose work I read and admire regularly is not in favor of abortion on demand or throwing out speed limits. In my effort to point out the dangers of applying the old saw about the "Price of Freedom" too freely, I failed to make clear that my questions to Lorie were rhetorical. I wish I could write as well as Byrd. Please accept my apology, Lorie.

Oklahoma City bombing anniversary

It was only 12 years ago today. I don't know what to think about it. Still a tragedy, it is too soon to be viewed as history. It always amazes me to think of how fast the feds got Timothy McVeigh onto the death gurney. The event has given rise to almost as many conspiracy theories as the Kennedy assassinations. Vinnie and kyer remember.
---
Reader Uncle Wiggily from the Heartland Notebook reminds us of another important anniversary that fall on this date. The anniversary of the "Shot Heard 'Round the World" fired at Lexington, Massachusetts in 1775. As UW says: "It was in all the papers."

The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere
I also forgot the anniversary of Paul Revere's ride the night before. This in spite of the fact that "it was in all the papers" and that a Miss DeCroce forced me to memorize the awful, sing-song poem in grade school.

Bomb Iran? More proof John McCain has gone crazy

Drudge Flash:
Sen. John McCain brought his "Straight Talk" tour to South Carolina Wednesday morning.

The presidential hopeful spent 90 minutes talking to nearly 500 people who crammed into the Murrells Inlet VFW Hall.

At the campaign rally, McCain was asked if an attack on Iran is in the works, the GEORGETOWN TIMES reports.

McCain began his answer by changing the words to a popular BEACH BOYS song.

“Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran,” he sang to the tune of Barbara Ann.
Now I'm more certain than ever that Senator McCain has some mental problems. Watch the video here. Reminds me of General Curtis LeMay saying we needed to "bomb Viet-Nam back into the stone age." War does things to a man.

He just couldn't help himself

Randell Poore - Child Molester
From KETV Channel 7 News in Omaha comes this sad story: Level 3 Sex Offender Charged Again With Sex Crimes. It seems to me that no amount of punishment or threatened punishment can deter these sick-os from messing with the kids. Even the shame of having your mug in the news has no effect. Because we think they can be fixed and re-integrated into society, we condemn ourselves to suffer the harm they cause.

I would suggest that these sex offenders, especially the pedophiles, need a place to be kept where they can't hurt us or our kids. Perhaps some will need to be institutionalized for life if they can't be fixed. We are too civilized to discard these broken clocks, so why not involuntarily commit them to an asylum? This relates directly to the previous post, in which I suggest that other broken clocks like the totally insane Virginia Tech shooter Cho Seung-Hui, should be detected and humanely committed to a modern insane asylum.

It is time to stop feeling so sorry for the Poore Randells among us that we fail to protect our kids.

Re-open the Insane Asylums of America

Shuttered Loony Bin
Here's a thought brought to mind by the revelation of just how crazy the Virginia Tech gunman, Cho Seung-Hui, actually was known to be before he started his rampage. It is time to reconsider our laws on involuntary commitment of the mentally ill, so we could put these cats safely away before they get to this point. Either that or we condemn them to a life spent in and out of jail. Not to mention that we condemn ourselves to suffer the damage and grief crazy folks cause.

So much of the 'law of the land' pertaining to involuntary commitment depends upon ephemeral (or penumbral) court-created 'privacy rights' for its Constitutional rationale. Rights like those that gave us Roe v. Wade. The very same rationale condemns thousands of mentally ill Americans to life on the streets or homeless shelters as they attempt to self-medicate with dope and booze.

Lets take the shutters off the old Funny Farm, reinvigorate our sense of service to those of us that are crazy. Asylums needn't be the Bedlams of old or the more recent 'human warehouses'. Are we not more civilized with each passing year?

Obligatory Mass Murder Gun Control Discussion

Updated: Take a Gun Control Poll for no extra charge.
Scroll down please.

Worst School Killing?
In today's predictably PC world, the aftermath of any tragic shooting spree must include a re-examination of our gun control laws. You know the liberal drill: "The medicine isn't working, we need to take more!" I'll get back to this in a minute.

The media is noting that the Virginia Tech massacre on Monday is the very worst school killing ever in America since Charles Whitman went nuts on the Texas Tower. The media bias against the Second Amendment shows clearly in this assertion. The fact is, the 1927 Bath, Michigan school killings had a death toll of 45 with 58 injured. So why doesn't Andrew Kehoe, the Bath killer, get any mention? Kehoe didn't use a firearm! He blew up the school with a bomb. No gun control mileage here. Into the wastebasket of history goes the Bath School tragedy. No useful purpose. [The Jawa Report and Michelle Malkin have picked up on this theme.]

Back to the gun control discussion which the nation must endure after every single crime committed with a firearm that results in the death of white kids. How can we subvert the second Amendment? You know where I stand on the issue. Guns don't kill people any more than automobiles kill people.

Here is what a few other blogs I read are saying:

David Codrea at The War on Guns has two posts so far. I liked Imagine if Students Were Armed the best.
---
Jeff Soyer at Alphecca also has two posts. Read about John McCain's very interesting comments on the matter.
---
Joe's Crabby Shack, a blog that grows on you, has so much to say that is worth reading I will just give a general link for now. I count four related posts already.
---
From Canada: gnotalex at the blog quebecois notes that the Canuck CBC has already blamed George Bush for the deaths.
---
Nicki at the Liberty Zone is also weighing in with multiple posts warning that, "calls for the repeal of the Second Amendment have already started."
---
Michelle Malkin has also made several Virginia Tech related posts. I like this one because it mentions a ugly new face on the scene Rev. Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church devil skunks will be intruding upon the tragedy.
---
Gateway Pundit likewise has several posts of Va. Tech stuff, including a video of student reactions.
---
Wizbang has some good posts on the shootings. I recommend this one on on "Lessons to be learned".
---
Even beatnik kook blogger Sir Prize is calling it a "Black Day".
---
Iowa Voice reports that their new governor, Democrat Chet Culver, a Virginia Tech alum, has made the leap. Culver says the shootings raise "Gun issues".
---
Angela lets us know it isn't just her Right to Free Speech she is willing to exercise. There is a nice discussion in the comments. I liked my comment so much I'm reiterating it here.
Lunatic control is what we chiefly need. Its simple when you think about it. But no system of lunatic control will ever be perfect, so nasty things like this will happen.

Same same, no gun control or ban system will ever be perfect. No matter how stringent the ban, nasty things like this will happen.

The world isn't perfect, and neither are the folks living in it. Would you rather live in an imperfect world with more freedom and liberty, or an imperfect world with less freedom and liberty?
I'll take my imperfect world with extra freedom and liberty, thank you very much.

---
James Na at DPRK Studies blogs a story about Chos sister in the Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo: “Very Different Sister”.
---
Vinnie (maybe its kyer?) best sums up my thoughts today with this post at Vince aut Morire:
The names of these poor souls don’t matter to those who immediately jumped at the opportunity to advocate curtailing our individual rights under the Constitution.

The anti-2nd Amendment crowd immediately launched a crusade, soon followed by the anti-1st Amendment “violent video games/movies/music” mafia.

Don’t bother getting outraged by what you’re going to hear over the next week or so from these people. It’s not worth the effort.

Pray for the victims and their families. That’s worth the effort.
The Virginia Tech victims aren't useful propaganda tools, they are dead and wounded and traumatized Americans with friends and families. Ignore the clamoring idiots. Put in a word to your 'higher power' for them.

Nota bene: As school massacres go, the Mohammedan fanatics of the Beslan school unpleasantness hold the world record with over 300 killed. But, hey, the Beslan killers were freedom fighters.
---
Here is my contribution to the Obligatory Gun Control Discussion: yet another poll. Lets see what you think. Jump in.

---
Dr. Doe of the Jawa Report has found a hero. Professor Liviu Librescu laid down his life to save his students.
---
Michelle Malkin wants to see the concept of self defense returned to the American culture: "Enough of intellectual disarmament. Enough of physical disarmament. You want a safer campus? It begins with renewing a culture of self-defense—mind, spirit, and body. It begins with two words: Fight back."

Make a call, kill a bee?

No Pollination
You saw it on Drudge this morning. There's a possibility that cell phone radiation is killing off the honeybees. That takes a little wind out of my pet theory that pesticides or GMO crops were doing it.

I guess it's up to the Democrats to write a "make the world safe" bill. With one stroke of the pen they'll have to eliminate cell phones, vehicle emissions, handguns and whatever else they perceive as threatening.

I worry about the bees. We need those little flower humpers.

Barack goes off the plantation: says hip-hop like Imus

Barack Obama
Presidential candidate Barack 'Barry' Obama has his political ears to the ground. In an effort to make hay from Don Imus' recent bloody execution for PC radio speech violations, Obama went so far as to suggest that the filthy hip-hop and rap lyrics heard every day on our airwaves were somehow similarly offensive to Negroes.

Be careful, Barack. When Al Sharpton gets wind of what you are saying, he's either going to whip you back into the cotton field or, worse yet, start questioning your blackness. Better listen up, Barry.

The bad old days recalled

Kathleen Soliah - 1974
The goofy but deadly Symbionese Liberation Army raised its seven ugly heads once again in the form of SLA killer Kathleen Soliah, who went underground to escape trial for the political gang's awful deeds. She lived for decades as a house-wife in Minnesota until she was caught in 1999 and sent up the river. The news story is only about a technicality in her sentencing.

Recalling the SLA reminds me of those days when terrorists were springing up out of our own culture. Outfits like the Red Army Faction, Weather Underground, Red Brigades, and Black Panthers were almost as inexplicable and dangerous the Islamic Jihad is today.
---
Did you know that the seven-headed cobra the SLA adopted as their standard was designed to reflect the seven principles of Kwanzaa?

Teacher - Student Sex Crackdown has Unexpected Results

Who would have thought that the recent spate of teachers getting busted for having sex with their students would drive the school teachers and administrators to having sex with each other. If I had thought that any of my teachers were boffing the principal in his office I would never have grown up. I would have died laughing.

A video DVD showing a principal and teacher having sex in school has been circulated anonymously in Illinois. The graphic video has resulted in resignations and calls for prosecution. From the Chicago Sun-Times:
The two-hour disc shows several scenes of Sandridge Elementary school principal Leroy Coleman and science teacher Janet Lofton having sex in his office.
---
"I was stunned and I felt sick to my stomach," said parent Kim Grivakis, who was one of two parents to have the DVD left in their mailboxes.
If we stop this nasty fraternization, what are these sex-crazed teachers and school administrators going to do next for sex on the job? Maybe they will go back to doing it manually and privately, as I suspected most of them did when I was in school.

Green Meat fights Global Warming

Fight Global Warming- Eat Green Meat

Fatwa Vinnie's is where I first saw the story. Read his Vince aut Morire post about the USDA warning. A beef (and other meat) 'shortage' looms as a result of the diversion of corn from animal feed to the production of ethanol. Really it is a non-story, as I commented at Vinnie's: the economics are right out of Econ101, but everyone likes to plead ignorance of the law of supply and demand. Vinnie wants no knee-jerk reaction to an Al Gore driven global warming scare to stand between him and his frequent meals of flesh.

Nebraska is the Beef State. It may be one of the few places where the Porterhouse is still popular. The diversion of corn to ethanol production should be more of an economic wash here. Much of the 'extra cost' of higher meat prices will stay right here since we grow corn, feed cattle and produce ethanol. That just means Al Gore won't be able to price us out of our steak dinners; another, more insidious result still lurks. Green meat.

Since many feeders are going to to feed less corn, they will be substituting feedstuffs either normally too costly or of less quality. Beef won't taste the same. I like corn fed beef. It ain't the same as fish meal fed beef. Maybe this is how the PETA wingnuts are finally going to get Al Gore & His Followers on the vegetarian bandwagon. Green meat will taste so bad, nobody will want to eat it, not even big Al.

Thats all we need. More alliances in the axis of wacky.
Cross-posted at Love Global Warming
---
Addendum: I looked all over to find pictures or videos of Al Gore eating meat. There wasn't anything I thought was suitable, so I made the green porterhouse above. But Terry_Jim at the Lazy Half S Ranch found this old CNN story about Al Gore helping to grill "thick burgers, bulging sausages, chicken breasts and pork chops." Along with this great picture:

"It's for real," said the travel agent, "but there is one catch. You have to be ready to leave right now."

The retired widower is ready for anything, and replies, "OK. I have my American Express card, I can buy new clothes in Europe, by golly. Here's my $20, when do we leave?"

The travel agent pointed out a door at the back and said, "Go right through that door marked Departures, sir! Enjoy your cruise."

As soon as our traveler steps through the door, he is hit over the head and rendered unconscious. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a rowboat tied to a buoy so far out to sea that he could see no land. There is a stranger in the boat who tells him that he bought the same $20 cruise, and says he has found a compass and a note on board with directions for rowing to Europe.

Disgusted, but with no other options, the men begin taking turns rowing the boat. After a few hours, our retired widower grows hungry, and asks his traveling companion if there was any food on the boat. "I don't think so," the stranger replied, "there wasn't any last year."
I don't know what to make of Google. Some of the stuff they do annoys folks, like ignoring Christian Holidays in their frequent commemorative logo changes and helping the nasty, totalitarian governments, like the Chinese Communist regime, oppress their people. Hey, its their company, I figure they can run it as they please.

Other stuff they do, like enabling bloggers to do their thing for free, strikes me as pretty darn good. Google Earth is outstanding, but do they edit it to hide ChiCom missile sites or Russian prison camps? I use their search engines every day without knowing if the Google I get is also censored or if the results I get are skewed to reflect some bias or another.

Directions from New York to Paris
At least they have a sense of humor. If someone got killed or injured trying to follow these directions to Swim across the Atlantic Ocean, do you suppose they could find a lawyer willing to sue Google?
---
Addendum: Rumors are flying that Google is planning a new location in Iowa, just across the footbridge from Omaha. This might be good news for folks looking for tech work in the Omaha-Council Bluffs Iowa.

Fred Thompson's Watergate

Answer: “a Tennessee lawyer with brass balls”

Question: How did Howard Baker describe the then-unknown Fred Thompson to Richard Nixon prior to the beginning of the Watergate hearings?
Fred Thompson, the next President of the US, might have been unknown to the nation, but fellow Tennessean Howard Baker had certainly heard of Fred's cojones. As it turned out, Fred the real lawyer got to ask the question that sealed Richard Nixon's fate. The existence of tape recordings made with Nixon's White House bugging devices was made public. From the Watergate hearings transcripts via CNN:
In July of 1973, Fred Thompson, then a Republican attorney for the Senate Watergate committee, (and now a Republican senator from Tennessee), called on a surprise witness, Alexander Butterfield. Butterfield was a former aide to White House chief of staff H.R. Haldeman. The exchange:

Thompson: "Mr. Butterfield, are you aware of the installation of any listening devices in the Oval Office of the President?"

Butterfield: "I was aware of listening devices, yes sir.
At that point, nothing short of an immediate tape bonfire in the Rose Garden could have saved Nixon from disgrace. I supported Nixon, but what the tapes revealed changed that. Perhaps Iowa's Wiley Mayne stuck by Dirty Dick longer than I did, but not by much. Nice work, Fred.
---
Update: Fred Thompson was diagnosed with indolent lymphoma (a form of cancer) a few years ago. According to what the old feeder has heard so far, the disease is not one of the really nasty cancers and Fred's case is in remission. It shouldn't be a big problem, but tongues will wag.

Don Imus cashes in Cancer Ranch credits

Don Imus - Big Hat - Small Head
I don't know why talk radio cat Don Imus described the black ladies of the Rutgers University women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos" on the air. Not that anyone cares what Don has to say, but when America's most annoying Negro troublemaker, Rev. Al Sharpton, gets involved, we can smell the stink here at the feedlot.

Don tried to cash in his Racist Credits, earned from running some sort of dude ranch for kids with cancer, arguably some of which are black. Unlike the other black credits, Carbon Credits like the ones that saved Al Gore and John Travolta from appearing hypocritical, racist credits are nearly worthless these days. Gresham's law at work, I guess.

If one more white idiot has to apologize to Al 'Tawana Brawley' Sharpton, no matter what he says or does, I'll puke. Its worse than forcing PC violators into rehab.
---
Updated: Imus calls Negroes "you people" right to Al Sharpton's face when he was supposed to be apologizing. He's been suspended and will be tested for steroids. Imus watchers are wondering whether in-patient rehab is next for Don.
---
More: Angela at ARTFS wonders why horrid Rosie O'Donnell can say anything she wants, even make racist slurs, and gets a pass, while advertisers are pulling out from the Imus show.

Merry Easter!

The old feeder doesn't really participate in Easter. Back when I was still invited to family gatherings, I always looked forward to seeing the folks and the kids and gorging on some great eats. These rituals only make life better. If you are having such a Sunday today: enjoy! Just remember who to thank for it.

In spite of the efforts of numerous dedicated believers, I just can't believe in the resurrection. I call myself a follower of the line of Jesus, the parables give me a great deal of what I suppose others get from their own religiosity. Easter isn't for everyone. That being said, I want to wish all of you a Very Nice Sunday, whether you call it Easter or not.

Since I'm such a load, here is a little selection of what a few of my favorite bloggers have to say about Easter:

Parrish Baker at Sparrow's Fall: Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Ang at Angela's Right: A school in Rhode Island has decided to change the name of the Easter Bunny to Peter Rabbit in order to not offend anyone and not appear to be promoting the Christian religion.

Merri at Merri Musings: I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

Angela at Angela's Right: It's a blessing that the failures of this world do not rest in the hands of the people that make the PAAS "Tattoos" version of an Easter egg coloring kit.

Fred Thompson at Red State: Tony Blair doesn't appear to be in much of a mood for celebrating.

Merry Easter!

Chuck Hagel supporters losing steam

Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel miffed the media by hyping a non-announcement announcement regarding his presidential ambitions, and then further angered his constituents by voting with the defeatists on the war in Viet-Nam Iraq. He has even spoken the I word, as in Impeach Bush. Since then, I have noticed that many of the web sites set up to promote his bid for the 2008 Republican nomination are losing steam.

The only place he gets gets kissed on the lips by the media now is Al-Jazeera, which Dr. Shackleford at the Jawa Report reads so I don't have to. Even a job at a goofy liberal college out East, like our former Nebraska Senator gone bad, Bob Kerrey, has taken, won't be far enough away to suit. Did I mention that Bob Kerrey is so roundly despised that even leftists hate him? Chuck should look into the new condos going up in Dubai.

Here is a list of Chuck Hagel in '08 links. Watch them fizzle out.

Everything Fred Thompson: the Fredipedia

Updated June 1, 2007: The old feeder has decided to endorse Fred Thompson as the Republican Party nomination for US President in 2008. Please visit some of these web sites and blogs. Get to know Fred. Then let Fred know you want him to throw his hat in the ring. Wouldn't you really rather see Fred and Jeri in the White House?
---
The old feeder is getting to the point where he might consider cutting a check to help Fred Thompson's unannounced campaign for the Republican Party's 2008 presidential nomination. You should know that the last time this tightwad gave any money to a political campaign was a donation to Ronald Reagan sometime after he narrowly lost the Republican nomination to Ford in 1976. I figured Jimmy Carter was making my money worthless anyhow, so why not give it away?

I have taken the liberty of copying in full this nifty list of sources for information on Fred Thompson and added some other stuff. You can find the Original, Definitive Fredipedia by Sturm Ruger, along with some well reasoned discussions at DraftFredThompson.com. It is a big improvement over the Fred & Jeri links Plains Feeder posted earlier.
